Penicillin Cocktail
Whiskey, Lemon, Ginger, Honey
Ingredients:
- 3 oz Blended Scotch
- .75 Oz lemon juice
- .75 oz honey syrup
- About a Tablespoon worth of ginger, peeled
- .25/.5 oz Islay Scotch
Instructions:
- Combine lemon juice, honey syrup, and ginger into shaker. Muddle ginger gently.
- Add the scotch
- Shake
- Double strain into an old fashioned glass
- Top with Islay Scotch.
Notes:
- You will have 2 completely different taste profiles at the beginning and the end of this cocktail. Your first few sips will taste like the Islay Scotch, which is typically going to be a strong peat or smokey flavor. The second half of the drink tastes like a dialed up Whiskey Sour, with a nice ginger flavor.
- Put a spoon facedown over the glass and slowly pour the Islay Scotch to float at the top of the drink.
